For best results:
Choose the right leather: vegetable tanned leather with an absorbent surface (a drop of water quickly penetrates the leather).
Moisten the leather with a sponge or spray (with water at room temperature) and wait for the moisture to penetrate the leather (to do this, you can place the leather in a plastic bag).
Use a suitable hammer (not a metal one) to avoid damaging the stamp.
